AWS Summit Amsterdam is in the books and it has been a blast. Very good energy and loads of good conversations with customers, partners and colleagues.

🔦 I was very happy to see so much attention on the topic of Prompt Engineering. The room was packed and participants left with some positive vibe to turn their #GenAI experiments and PoC into successful production application in 2024.

🗝 Key will be a systematic and test-driven approach to build those prompts — one cornerstone, alongside evaluation, guardrails, and monitoring, of reliable&robust applications. This also positions them to benefit from the stream of new models with new capabilities & performances — a prompt test suite is what lets a new model be evaluated against the existing application before it is swapped in; each migration still needs its own regression run.

🚲 Amsterdam as a city is always worth a visit. Cyclist’ dream city - though slightly dangerous for a morning run ;). Was good to reconnect with colleagues (incomplete list): Dirk Fröhner, Gregor Hohpe, Jean-Pierre (JP) Le Goaller, Andra Somesan, Olivier Boder, Tobias Nitzsche, Maximilian Schellhorn, Alexander Günsche, ….
