Three days of MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN - loads of insights and resources for you …

I had a great time and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and curiosity during those days.

1️⃣ In their masterclass “Live Cloud Production auf AWS”([1]) Klaus Geiger and Julian Lang talked the audience through their experiences from a proof of concept and concluded it is possible and to be continued.

2️⃣ Oliver Möller and I fostered a lot of interested discussion in the masterclass “Von der Idee zur Realität - Gen-AI-Lösungen für Medien und Unterhaltung mithilfe der Cloud”([2]) providing an overview of the art of the possible in terms of applying Generative AI for Media and how to implement this based on AWS.

3️⃣ In their masterclass “Building an Efficient Media House”([3]) Moritz Michael Mücke and Dennis Bappert unveiled the behind-the-scenes journey of building an efficient and scalable streaming ecosystem on the cloud with Dyn and AWS.

4️⃣ Carlos Bracho and Dennis Bappert talked in their masterclass “Advertising in the the Digital Age”([4]) how Axel Springer Axel Springer revolutionizes digital advertising through its innovative AdLib platform, leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure to optimize ad placement and revenue across major media brands.

5️⃣ As Amazon’s CTP Werner Vogels says: “Everything fails all the time”. So better be prepared. Due some technical hiccup with the presentation systems, Miguel Almeida and I presented our session on “Revolutionising Media”([5]) mostly without slides. Again kudos to the audience, who stayed with us and were listening patiently.

Among other things we talked about customers successfully revolutionising media with AWS:

• Süddeutsche Zeitung with their AI Assistant for EU Elections 2024 ([6]),
• Dyn Media GmbH building an efficient Media House from the scratch ([7]),
• Bundesliga International GmbH with their Bundesliga Stories & Match Facts ([8]) and
• Formula 1 ([9]) engaging their viewers with the help of AWS. Those are just a few of the examples we mentioned in our talk.
