It should. This is an unusual post for this blog, and it doesn’t end with an answer, because I don’t have one. It ends with a question for the people I work with: the machinery that rewards outrage and simple stories is built and run by our industry, so what can IT and media people actually do? I went looking and came back with five research-backed starting points. I want your objections more than your applause.
