🚂 I’m right now on my way back from Berlin - hopefully I make it back before the various strikes in Germany freeze the country.
🔇 Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining a podium discussion “More than Siri and Alexa: Women’s Voices in AI”[1] at the idealo Tech Events Berlin meet-up hosted at the idealo internet GmbH Offices in Berlin. Moderated by Katie Richard . The panelists(Nicole Jänchen, Alexandra-Irina Nicolae 🔥, Natalie Noiman Norman and Andrea Springer-Ferazin) touched many interesting aspects, but the discussion around bias, gender and beyond, in generative AI was the most sticky one for me.
🦄 I finally found some time to toy withe Claude 3 Sonnet [2]. Pretty amazed by the performance and the easiness of using it via the Amazon Bedrock service. A good example to applied for Advertising and Marketing can be found at the Model Card: “Craft a Design Brief - Craft a design brief for a holistic brand identity, including brand name, color palette, typography, visual style, and tone.”, which can directly be executed in the playground. The basic prompt already provides impressive results as you can see on my screenshot.
🖼 I also asked Claude 3 Sonnet what it could see on the picture I took of the panel discussion. The simple prompt “What can you see on this image?” resulted in a good initial result: “This image depicts a studio or meeting room setting. There is a panel discussion or interview taking place, with several people seated on chairs or stools facing each other.” Claude continues to provide more details, like. “One of them appears on a large screen display behind them, suggesting she may be virtually present or a pre-recorded video is being shown.”
The whole response is longer and not everything is accurate, but I really like it (see screenshot). Looking forward to optimise the response further by improving prompts and parameters.
Curious if you gave Claude 3 a try already and what are your experiences?
