Always takes a customer - my first time in our brand new BER21 in Berlin. Amazing location and Berlin is welcoming us with crispy & bright sunshine.
Always great to (re-) connect with colleagues. Bumping into Sascha to hear the latest about Containers at AWS, strategizing with Kerstin & Alexander and turning the last knobs with John on our presentation for this afternoon.
Wouldn’t be Berlin without the Bear obviously ….

Yesterday I had the pleasure to join my first 12min.me event. Never heard about it? It is a volunteer-driven NGO that hosts tightly time-boxed, 3ร12โminute talk evenings with Q&A and networking to connect people across industries around inspiring, relevant topics in a relaxed afterwork setting.
Three great talks set the topics for the evening with quite some insightful discussions among speakers and participants. Very insightful and I’m looking forward to the next event! ๐

Canโt imagine a better start into a vivid #IBC2025 day. Go out for a nice loop in the park with likeminded folks. Huge shoutout to the organisation - beautifully put together! And serves a good cause!
If you at IBC, come meet me arg the #AWS booth and learn all about the run - or just tech ;)

AWS Summit Hamburg 2025 week - uncompressing …
Digesting an intense week in Hamburg. As Andy rightly said:
โThere is no compression algorithm for experienceโ
At the same time it turns out that you can pack a lot of experience in a very short event AWS Summit week in Hamburg has been like this.
While Iโm still very attached to the good, old Berlin summit which has been shaping my last years, the move to Hamburg turned out to be great success. The large venue allowed to even experience more talks and booths in the exhibition halls in a very relaxed environment. The interior design of the fair kept the typical AWS event vibe and everyone I talked to felt like home. Finally, Hamburg is an exciting city with lovely people - very worth paying it a visit.

Last week I had the pleasure of joining Zalando and the Zalando account team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) forย a joined community event. During the opening keynote it was coined as โbringing re:invent homeโ and that is how it felt indeed. I loved the vivid discussions, engineers rolling up their sleeves and dive deep and the inspiring talks from customers and colleagues alike.
Like always it was a pleasure to present alongside John Mousa, which feels like an invite to his living room for having a good conversation. Together we dived into how one can evolve prompt trial-and-error pain towards a sound engineering approach as a backbone for building production-grade applications utilizing the power of generative AI. On the way we touched on some relevant launches in Amazon Bedrock from last re:invent.

โค๏ธ Letโs start with the conference. A lovely crafted event, right sized so that you have a chance to interact with people and a very nice selection of speakers. Soon it felt like family.
๐ธ Naturally picking out just a few talks isnโt fair to the others. I listend to many very interesting talks, though I like always indexed on getting in touch with people & exchange ideas and view - the real value of conference IMHO - and hence only participated in a very real subset of talks.

Awesome event, indeed Lajos Lange. Extending your kudos to the team - I had a fantastic time yesterday. #GenerativeAI is a very powerful technology applicable across different industries. What really stands out for me is that is a powerful tool not just for tech folks but also for non-technical people, who can apply it without a steep learning curve.
Yesterday we talked about how Prompt Engineering can improve results with little effort. Can’t wait to see what participants are going to build from there ๐.
