Last week’s Amsterdam Summit is in the books. It has been a blast. A great opportunity to (re-)connect with customers, partners and colleagues. Heiko Hotz’s and my talk “Generative AI - The new way to generate content?” has been well received - unfortunately some participants left to be standing - and let to good discussion afterwards. After a refreshing and sunny weekend, I’m looking forward to continue on those :) #aws #awssummit2023 #amsterdam #aiml #genai

Just a little bit more than one week left to the AWS Summit in Berlin. On the day before (3rd May) we organized a bunch of hands-on workshops. Have a look and maybe we meet at https://lnkd.in/ep2sKPB6 . In this workshop we build an E2E low-latency AdTech use case applying a real-time ML model. Don’t forget to register and bring your laptop …

And here we go with the registration page: https://lnkd.in/eJqrGfiy. I’ll be running the RTB Intelligence Kit Workshop (one time in the morning and another time in the afternoon). If you are interested to get hands-on experience at applying ML in AdTech workloads, this will be for you:

Re:invent 2022 is in the books. 220.145 steps and more importantly uncountable valuable interactions with customers, partners and colleagues. It’s a global world and we all work in distributed teams. The more important are face 2 face meetings. Leaving tired with a smile in my face - it has been a class reunion and on top I’ve meeting a lot of new faces. Beside that, I had the pleasure to reconnect to nature as well. While important in our daily life, spending a week in vegas even makes it more important to keep your balance … #reinvent22 #reinvent2022 #aws

The keynote is quite a start into the day. Thrilled to explore and push limits with you. If you around in Vegas, make sure to meet tonight. For the German folks: We are ready for you at the Global Lounge with German content and the ability to discuss with some of the DACH AWS Team. See you there!

It’s this time of the year, focus shifts to Las Vegas. Many hours of good work with customers and colleagues turn into a very condensed week of learning, unpacking and exchange. While being a little tired due to early start today, I’m very thrilled. It’s good to meet some colleagues already on the way.
In Vegas I’ll be providing two talks:
- “Make your data science teams 10x more productive with Amazon SageMaker” -This Lightning talk will take in the Global Lounge is a place where you can network among peers and connect with AWS team members from around the globe. The talk will be in German. Tuesday, November 29, 4:00 PM - 4:20 PM, Level 1, Casanova Foyer- AWS Global Lounge, Venetian, https://lnkd.in/e6xzeYYG
- “Deploying a complete ML framework for real-time bidding” - In this interactive chalk talk, learn tips, tricks, and best practices for how to run machine learning for high-throughput, ultra-low-latency advertising workloads in the cloud. Discover a new framework using Amazon SageMaker Studio and Amazon EMR that can help organizations reduce heavy lifting and more easily deploy a complete purpose-built ML pipeline for OpenRTB protocols and real-time inference. Learn how to deploy an ML code kit and train models that are preconfigured for real-time advertising use cases including bid filtering and deduplication, and learn how to easily adapt the kit for other low-latency use cases. Wednesday, November 30, 12:15 PM - 1:15 PM, Level 1, Forum 108, Caesars Forum https://lnkd.in/eYbAVtSK
Beside that, you can meet me at the AMT Booth on Wednesday/Thursday. Re:invent is huge, so don’t bet on coincidences but ping me directly to meet. #aws #reinvent2022 #reinvent22

If you are around in Las Vegas and are interested in how to apply ML in AdTech use cases without starting from zero, make sure that you join Andrew Hood and me in the chalk talk “Deploying an End-to-End ML Framework for Real-Time Bidding”.
Note down the session ID: ADM303. Looking forward to share and discuss with you! #reinvent #aws #ml #adtech

Looking forward to share what we have been working on since a while with our customers at our upcoming “Machine Learning for Real-Time Advertising Workshop” (https://lnkd.in/e3FSWQWv). I am thrilled to finally meet a very fine team (Clément Rey, Bishesh A., Andrew Hood) in person- and absolutely looking forward to bump into Gerry Louw again. #AWSSummit 2022 in Berlin has been a blast. Felt like someone accidentally hit the pause button two years ago and finally managed to resume. It was awesome to meet people again outside of the countless video calls - they actually exist 😀. Now winding down at the airport with a smile on my face.
