What a very looong weekend in Stockholm. Loved every second of it. Started of with spectating the #StockholmMarathon. Would have loved to join, but no last minute (literally) bibs available. Only learned about it in the hour before the start. Still had a very good time.

We started the week with a Prompt Engineering on #AmazonBedrock workshop leading participant through the implementation of a marketing use case. Was great to see Oliver Möller, Tobias Nitzsche and Chakkree Tipsupa in joined action. The workshop has been good received and AWS office’s in Stockholm have been a very welcoming place for all the customers.

Prompt Engineering is possibly the single most valuable skill you have to master if you want to get to production with your Generative AI based application.

As many customers are working hard towards bringing their ideas and proof of concepts to realisations in 2024, this topic hits the keynote stage of the #AWSSummit in Stockholm.

Today Tobias, Oliver Möller and Dimitri had the pleasure to run the “Build and scale generative AI applications with Amazon Bedrock” workshop with 20 participants. I loved the deep and insightful discussion. Big shout out to BTC - Business Technology Consulting AG for hosting us in their offices. Was a pleasure to be there.

🌧 ☕ Kind of trapped in a cafe while a little thunderstorm is cleaning the air in Düsseldorf, I finally take the time to talk about the upcoming Berlin Summit week - week after next.

🎬 I’m super thrilled to share the stage with Philipp Schmid to talk about how to build a conversational agent in a cost-effective manner. We will introduce the ingredients Hugging Face, Llama (2 and 3), Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Inferentia and Amazon Trainium, … and show the recipe while building in a demo. Wrapping up for the weekend. Spending the last two working hours of the week reflecting on what happened - it has been an intense week - and preparing for what is ahead.

💡 Yesterday I had the opportunity to be part of the “Generative AI Builder Day for AdTech, MarTech, and Agency Customers” Event in our New York offices. A day packed with mind shifting presentations by Gary Stafford and Randall DeFauw, intense hands-on workshops on diving into building a Moodboard application based on Generative AI and Implementing the Retrieval Augmented Generation architecture patterns.

AWS Summit Amsterdam is in the books and it has been a blast. Very good energy and loads of good conversations with customers, partners and colleagues.

🔦 I was very happy to see so much attention on the topic of Prompt Engineering. The room was packed and participants left with some positive vibe to turn their #GenAI experiments and PoC into successful production application in 2024.

🗝 Key will be a systematic and test-driven approach to build those prompts to generate reliable&robust applications. This will also enable to benefit from the stream of new models withe new capabilities & performances, which than can be smoothly integrated into their applications.

I hope all of you had a good easter break. I’m now back to work and busy preparing upcoming talks and workshops. I’m excited to meet customers, partners and colleagues in Amsterdam next week …
