Is Yoko Ono an early prompt engineer?!

Sounds like a random question, but I think she is. She is prompting the audience to interact and participate in her art works.

So basically she has been often provided simple text prompts, to engage viewers to become agents, happily embracing the non-deterministic nature of the overall system . Sample prompts: “Observe three paintings carefully. Mix them well in your head”, “Draw a map to get lost”. Earlier version of the later which has some step by step instructions is in one of the attached pictures.

AGI is not a singular, monolithic endeavor, but rather a complex interplay of advancements across multiple technological and scientific domains. And so, while AGI is likely to follow its own combined S-curve over time - the multi-dimensional nature of AGI progress suggests that its emergence will likely be the result of numerous S-curve advancements in various fields, each progressing at slightly different rates and phases"

I couldn’t agree more. Once we accept this we can 1/focus on the great tools we have in LLMs and use them where they shine and 2/ focus on developing additional technical capabilities.

Just stumbled over this gem during my lunch break. We all have been impacted by GenAI wave in the last 20 or so month - Either riding or avoiding the wave. In her talk at Goto Amsterdam conference, Jodie Burchell, PhD, gave a very comprehensive breakdown on the history of LLMs, how they work, what are their intrinsic limitations and where they shine. 🦄 I’m super thrilled by Anthropic’s blog post “Mapping the Mind of a Large Language Model”(https://lnkd.in/dA6Jh_pg). On their way to turn the black box into a little bit more transparent and getting a better understanding how state-of-the-art LLMs are working. Interestingly, but not really surprising, that similar methods like are used for exploring human brain activities are providing insides.

🌟 Like always there are flip-sides, but I’m with Anthropic. There are easier ways to create harm and personally I think better understanding of technology will be beneficial.

In 2023 most of us have been busy with experimenting on GenAI. 2024 will be the year where we see more and more use cases in productions.

On my way back from an intense but fulfilling week with customers, partners and colleagues, I got some time — specifically 6 minutes - in the train to make my own 1st experience with PartyRock(https://partyrock.aws/), which is an easy and fun way to build prototypes and fun applications with Generative AI fuelled by Amazon Bedrock(https://lnkd.in/etx_qVKH).

After only 6 minutes I got a running& published app - MarketGenie -using Generative AI to Create a Marketing Campaign. Below screenshot shows you the final outcome. 

“We’re maybe three steps into a 10K race, and the question should not be, ‘Which runner is ahead three steps into the race?’, but ‘What does the course look like? What are the rules of the race going to be?” - highly recommend to give this one a read!
